Prairie State College was one of eight distinct community colleges to receive a grant from the American Association of Community Colleges to create inclusive service learning opportunities for students with disabilities.
Along with faculty partiipation, the Label us Able student organizations plan and implement activities, with the help of Student Life.

The Center offers space on PSC's campus to four community-based organizations:
The purpose of the Center is to connect these organizations with our students, faculty and staff and provide volunteer opportunities for students and employees who want to make a difference in their community.
A brand new service learning opportunity will be available to PSC students through the Center for Multi-Cultural Communities beginning in the Spring 2009 semester. Opportunities will be available for students to act as Mystery Shoppers to the various retail and restaurants in the Southland area. This program is designed to compare and contrast services provided to different ethnic and age groups. More details to come.
