Prairie State College is a Microsoft Academic Alliance partner. Through this agreement with Microsoft, we are able to offer free Microsoft software to our students using ELMS (e-Academy License Management System).

Microsoft Academic Alliance

Here's how it works: During the second week of classes each semester, faculty members will collect e-mail addresses from all students enrolled in courses in the Information Technology (IT) Department. This includes all students registered for courses with the following course prefixes: ITNET, ITPRG, ITWEB, ITAPP, and ITOFS. The e-mail addresses will be uploaded to Microsoft's ELMS site, and students will register online for the software that they are requesting. ELMS immediately returns a unique "keycode" for each student. The software, on CDs, is available for checkout from the library, and the keycode will allow students to install the software on their home computer.
