The Photo Society Banquet will be held at Georgios Banquet Hall, 8800 West 159 Street in Orland Park. Tickets may be purchased during open lab for $25 or $30 at the door. Please R.S.V.P. as soon as possible to either (708) 709-3671, fill in the form below, or e-mail psc_photo@yahoo.com.
Prairie State College Photo Society
The PSC Photo Society is a recognized club of Prairie State College. Recognition by the Student Government Association and Prairie State allows us to use school facilities, maintain a school checking account and have a voice in how the SGA handles student affairs. It also allows us to be tax exempt in our purchases and sales, which means you won't have to pay additional sales tax on your purchases through the Photo Society.
Dues for the club are $5.00 per year and will expire on August 15th, 2010. One of the best reasons to join Photo Society is the discount available on photo supplies. The money you save through these discounts will more than pay for your dues.
Dues also help support the club and its programs during the school year. All money taken in by the Photo Society stays in the club and is used for purchasing supplies, sponsoring the Photographer of the Year scholarships, holding workshops & seminars, providing refreshments and awards at meetings and the general running of the club.
Officers of the club are volunteers and are not paid in any way for their time. Meetings are usually held every other week in the Digital Lab (Room 4120) date and time TBA. We strongly encourage all new students to attend these meetings, which are beneficial to all photo students and full of information.
Supplies can only be purchased during open lab hours. Your instructor does not have access to the supplies. Payment is required at the time of purchase, cash or check is acceptable. Please make checks payable to : PSC Photo Society
Lockers are available in the lab for you to store your stuff for class. Lockers are $5.00 per semester and must be vacated at the end of each semester, you will need to supply your own lock.
