These viewers allow you to view documents of the specified file type, even
if you don't have the full version of the program installed. They don't, however,
allow you to make changes to documents or create new documents. You can view
and print existing documents.

Web Browsers
Many internet problems can be solved by upgrading to the most recent version

Multimedia Plugins
Some web sites and courses require use of these plugins to view streaming video,
listen to audio files, or view animations.

Flash Player - for viewing animated web sites

Shockwave Player - another animation format
Real Player - a multimedia
player for audio and video. There is a free version - just look very carefully
for the link. They tend to hide it on the splash page for the paid "plus"
version.
Microsoft
Windows Media Player - Microsoft's audio and video player
Apple Quicktime
Player - multimedia player for Windows and Mac (not just Mac!)
