Music Technology and Music Production are emerging occupations with broad responsibilities. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there is an expected growth of 18 percent nationally through 2014 and 12 percent in Illinois through 2012 for careers in music production.

PSC's Computer Assisted Music Production program is the only one of its kind in the region. The program prepares students for a career in the music and sound industry and allows them to pursue an associate of applied science degree, a certificate in music technology, or take specific courses of interest. With the recently expanded music production facilities, including a full service music studio, renovated practice rooms, and new classroom equipment, the program is attracting a large number of interested students.
