POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide support and customer service for the Truck Driver Training Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide phone management activities including general customer service, registration of students, program descriptions, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Perform event planning activities including entering course information onto colleague, preparing instructor contracts, tax form preparation, instructor correspondence, room rental, audio visual preparation, room set up, food catering, instructor lodging and travel, instructor voucher requests, preparation of learning materials, map development, participant certificates, evaluations, rosters, greeting and registering students.
- Conduct initial phone interviews with prospective students to establish possible funding sources, job placement stability, and general health. Communicate with funding agencies and employers regarding student GPA’s and performance, as well as the coordination of applications submitted to employers by students.
- Provide general clerical duties including correspondence, filing, preparation of office forms, mail sorting, faxing, preparation of student files, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, contracts/agreements, ordering office supplies, duplication, budget spreadsheets, brochure, flyer and advertisement development.
- Coordinate application process.
- Assists with designing and managing the web pages in conjunction with PSC webmaster, identify student funding sources and monitor database management.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Serve on various college committees as appropriate.
- Assist in the college planning and assessment program by developing annual work unit objectives that impact long-range priority goals.
- Perrform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus some college courses in business or office management.
- Three years clerical experience in a professional office setting.
- Customer service experience.
- Computer competency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Continuing professional education or program certificate in business, office management, or related field.
- Experience with training programs at the college level.
