POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for set-up and the operation of a variety of audiovisual equipment in the Business and Community Education Center (BCEC). Provides customized sound, lighting, and multimedia services for clients of the BCEC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Meets with clients to determine their audio visual requirements for performances, meetings, conferences, and seminars. Provides lighting, sound, and multimedia services for events. Makes recommendations as appropriate for the nature of the event.
- Responsible for the set-up and the testing of equipment to ensure it is functioning properly before the event.
- Operates sound, lighting, and multimedia equipment during the scheduled performances, meetings, conferences, or any other scheduled event.
- Tracks the inventory and return of all audiovisual equipment to the proper storage area informing the Coordinator of any malfunctioning equipment and materials that need to be replaced.
- Provides excellent customer service for clients of the BCEC.
- Possesses ability to take notes, ask questions, and make recommendations to enhance the quality and entertainment value of events.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Makes recommendations for upgrading, replacing or improving audiovisual equipment to properly maintain the BCEC facilities.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope the duties enumerated above.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma.
- One year of experience as an Audiovisual Technician.
- Excellent listening skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two- three years of experience as an Audiovisual Technician in a commercial or educational environment.
- Experience using personal computer operating systems, presentation software, and hardware.
