New Students

All new students are required to attend an orientation session after they have:

  1. Complete an Admissions Application.
  2. Take the COMPASS test.
  3. Meet with an Academic Advisor to select courses and register.

New student orientation is only offered for students entering Prairie State College for the fall semester and have never attended college before. If you have questions, call the Counseling & Academic Advising Center Center at (708) 709-3506 or e-mail Shelley McCreery.

All sessions are from 5 to 7 p.m. and are held in the Heritage Community Bank Room located in the Business & Community Education Center.

New Student Orientation Dates

New student orientations are held in July and August, prior to the start of the fall semester. Dates will be posted when they become available.

Transfer Students

If you are a student from another college and are interested in becoming a transfer student or if you have questions regarding transferring to PSC, contact Admissions at (708)709-3509 or e-mail Debbie Bailey .

All sessions are from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
