About the Curriculum

Kids@College is a two-week summer enrichment program for children entering 2nd through 7th grade. The courses focus on enrichment in the areas of English and writing, math, computers, reading, art, and science. All classes are taught by certified teachers.

Class size is limited to 20 students per class to provide students with the attention they deserve. The program content is developed in conjunction with the Illinois State Goals for each grade level.

Each student receives six subjects in 55 minute periods. Students rotate classrooms during the course of each day.

Important Information

The safety of your child is very important to Prairie State College. To ensure that safety, please complete the registration form in its entirety including emergency contact information, and inform the staff of any special issues pertaining to your child.

All students must have a waiver form completed before the student attends class. Please accompany your child to class the first day to deliver the waiver form and to meet your child’s teacher. Please note: No child will be allowed to attend class without a waiver.

Classes are from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m. Parents must supply a brown bag lunch for their child. Children are to be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before class and picked up no later than 10 minutes after class ends.

Failure to abide by these rules may result in a child no longer being allowed to attend Kids@College, and no refund will be given.
