Prairie State College's Online Course Orientation Policy

It is the responsibility of each student enrolled in an online class to attend the orientation meeting for the class. In the event that the student does not or cannot attend the orientation meeting, it remains the student’s responsibility to contact the professor of the course no later than the end of the first week of class. Each professor reserves the right to deny access to the Blackboard online classroom to any student who has not attended the online orientation or who has not contacted the professor during the first week of class to arrange alternative orientation activities.

Failure to attend the orientation meeting for an online class or to make suitable alternative arrangements for orientation activities with the professor prior to or during the first week of class may have adverse effects on the student’s course grade.

Please note: There is an additional $20 Internet fee per online class.
