DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Supporting efforts to obtain external funding that will advance programs and projects that will help achieve institutional goals; researching funding sources, global and national trends, and relevant issues; coordinating the writing and editing of grant and funding proposals including related research and analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required in Research, Education or related field.
  2. Minimum of 2-5 years of successful grant writing or professional writing experience including proven success in proposal development.
  3. Have excellent skills in concept development and research, and the ability to write, edit and proofread reports and proposals.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with various internal and external audiences.
  5. Experience using MS Office Suite with well-developed computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet applications and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master’s degree in Research , Education, Public Policy or related field.
  2. Two years of related fund raising experience.

STATUS OF POSITION:
Full-time confidential support staff position.

HOURS TO BE WORKED: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

SALARY:
Prof./Tech. Level C - $45,000 annually.
