Position:

Child Care Assistant

Department:

Adult Education - Family Learning Institute (Off-Campus Site)

Reports to:

Child Care Manager of Family Learning Institute

Description of Position:

Under general supervision plans and conducts daily activities for the child care services of Family Learning Institute.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. At least six months of experience in a child care setting or child education program
  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. Ability to relate to a population of varied ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  4. Be flexible in time to meet the needs of the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  2. Have a minimum of 6 hours of credit in early childhood education

Status of Position:

Hourly, grant-funded

Hours to Work:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 12:15pm

or 5:30pm to 9 pm

Salary:

Starting at $7.50-$10 per hour depending upon experience.
